About Our Car Park
Conveniently located at the Gasworks Precinct within the Launceston CBD. Adjacent to the Launceston City Park, Albert Hall Convention Centre, University of Tasmania, Centrelink and Hogs Breath Restaurant. Only 10 minutes’ walk to the University of Tasmania AFL Stadium and the Launceston mall.
High Capacity
The Gasworks car park has 7 levels with nearly 300 car spaces. Two high speed lifts and two flights of stairs.
Cashless Payment
The latest innovative vehicle number plate recognition has been installed for cashless payment (debit card / credit card) only. Cash is not accepted.
Car Park Location
The car park can be accessed from Willis Street via the laneway located on the right hand side of Hogs Breath Restaurant.
Hours of Operation & Rates
General Parking
- Day Parking (6am – 7:30pm): first 30 mins $2.75 then $1.45 per 30 mins thereafter
- Day Parking Maximum Cost (6am – 7:30pm): $10
- Night Parking (7:30pm – 6am): $18 flat rate
- Car Park closes at 7:30pm daily
- After Hours Release: $55
Reserved Parking
Our current rates for a reserved parking space with 24 hours access 7 days a week:
$2,376 per including GST for 12 month term
$198 including GST for 1 month term.
Security
Extensive security camera systems are in operation 24 hours a day and regular foot patrols are conducted after hours for the security of our car park users.
